Digitial Tape Recorder
  This is my taperecorder site with sounds I have made with my digital tape recorder. Pretty boring eh! Well maybe for you but not for me cuz I am playing with them and having fun!

(WRONG!!! once you set the defaults it converts pretty good) That AudioConverter I downloaded suckes!!!! The MP3 file it created was 10 times bigger then the WMA file which was used as a source!!!!! Continue the search for a free decent WMA to MP3 converter

  • WMA files are a Microsoft attempt to get rid of the MP3 standard
    WAV files are the old huge audio files by Microsoft
    AAC is an Apple version of MP3 (that actually works)
    AAC = Advanced Audio Coding
    WMA = Windows Media Audio
    MP3 = MPEG-1 Audio Layer 3
    WAV = WAVeform audio format
    Red Book audio is the format used to store music and sound on CDs
    Red Book audio is also called Compact Disc Digital Audio (CDDA)
    CDDA = Red Book Audio
    Compact Disc Digital Audio system = Red Book Audio

Last I was suprised that the music is NOT very loud. Probably because I was not close to the speakers.
  • Some cool sounds with Kyrsten the worst socialist government ruler in the history of Arizona

  • No guns in Tempe Public Library The gun grabbers that run the City of Tempe refuse to obey the state law that says if they ban guns from a building they MUST allow you to check your gun!
  • Are guns allowed on the Phoenix area Valley Metro buses and light rail? We made some calls to Valley Metro and local police and government agencies asking them if guns were allowed on the Valley Metro buses and light rail trains. Surprisingly the government rulers gave us the wrong answer to that question more often then they gave us the right answer. Yes under Arizona law guns ARE allowed on Valley Metro buses and light rail trains, but more often then not the gun grabbers at Valley Metro and several police departments in the Phoenix area lied to us (or perhaps intentionally misled us) and told us that guns were illegal on Valley Metro trains and light rail.

    Arizona is an open carry state, meaning anyone can openly carry firearms with out having to get permission from the government. Per Arizona law if a government nanny wants to ban firearms from a building or vehicle they have to allow you to “check” your weapon when you enter the building or vehicle and return your gun when you leave the building or vehicle.

    Because Valley Metro buses and light rail trains don’t have lockers to check guns, this means it is illegal for Valley Metro to ban guns from their buses or light rail trains. And if you will dig deep enough you will find it is the official policy of Valley Metro to allow guns on both light rail and buses, but they seem to want you to think guns are banned.

  • The folks at Valley Metro say no guns on light rail
  • Phoenix Police lie and say guns are NOT allowed on buses and light rail! Recorded Jan 21, 2009 11:47 am.
  • Tempe Police correctly say guns are allowed on buses and light rail. Recorded Jan 21, 2009 12:02 am.
  • Mesa police get it half right and say sometimes guns are allowed on light rail and buses, and sometimes they are not. Recorded Jan 21, 2009 12:11 am.
  • ASU Police - While Arizona is an open carry state and anyone can openly carry a gun, on the ASU campus guns are illegal. This could cause a problem for somebody riding on the light rail thru Tempe where guns are legal, and then on to the Valley Metro light rail station on the ASU campus at University and Rural where guns are illegal.

    I called the ASU police to see if people carrying guns on light rail would be arrested when they cross the ASU campus.

    • ASU police dispatch really doesn't know if guns are allowed at the light rail station on the ASU Campus at University and Rural in Tempe. Recorded Jan 21, 2009 12:24 am.
    • ASU police spokesman Julie Newburg will try to find out if guns are allowed on the light rail station on the ASU campus at Rural & University in Tempe. Recorded Jan 21, 2009 12:28 am.
    • Arizona Laws relating to guns on campuses

      There are actually two statutes dealing with this issue.

      13-2911.D requires governing boards to "adopt rules ... for the maintenance of public order", and mentions that any deadly weapon used, displayed or possessed in violation of such a rule shall be forfeited. It does not, however, require them to have a firearms policy.

      15-341.A.25 deals with the powers and duties of local governing boards, and states, "Notwithstanding section 13-3108, prescribe and enforce policies and procedures that prohibit a person from carrying or possessing a weapon on school grounds unless the person is a peace officer or has obtained specific authorization from the school administrator." That's probably the one you're thinking of. Note how it neatly bypasses preemption.

      The thing is, Title 13 is the criminal code, and carries penalties. Title 15 is administrative, and does not. So 15-341 says they must set policies, but 13-2911 is what sets up the punishment for not abiding by them. At least that's how I understand it. If anyone has a better grasp of it, feel free to jump on in ...

      I might add that in Title 15, "school" is defined as K-12, so it sets up the Regents for a bit of a court tussle if they try to depend on 15-341 for backup. Not that I think they wouldn't try, but I'm just saying ...
