I saw a hand printed sign at the Circle K on 68th Street & McDowell
in Scottsdale that said
Free Money 1st Time Home BuyersGee if it sounds too good to be true it probably is! The word FRAUD comes into my mind. Any how then I called the number the recording said it belonged to Free Real Estate Information Hot LineWell no it looks like I got that wrong. Their name in not Philpot, it is Fillpot. And they listed what seems to be an actual business in the e-mail. And the phone number in the e-mail is slightly different then the phone number on the recorded message. If you will google on both of the phone numbers you will see they appear to be phones a residential address that appears to be the home of the Fillpots. That address is a near 48th Street & Thomas and is a couple of miles from the Circle K on 68th Street & McDowell in Scottsdale where I noticed the sign. Keller Williams Legacy One RealtySo I called the (888)648-9525 number from a pay phone and this is the message I got. It says the people who own the 800 number are too cheep to accept calls from a pay phone! But they claim to be going to give you wads of cash if your a first time home buyer. That certainly should make the BS meter jump higher then a kite. When I made this call to 888(648)9525 x751 from a phone that isn't a pay phone guess what? It isn't about FREE MONEY, which makes the BS meter jump up real high again. Note its not free money! First they claim you will get wow a $7,500 check from Uncle SamI assumed that was free money from Uncle Sam? Well not quite that statement was soon replaced by the words a $7,500 tax credit from Uncle SamSo I again assumed that was free money from Uncle Sam? Well not quite that statement was soon replaced by the words a $7,500 loan from Uncle SamOh! It't not free money! It's a loan, that I have to pay back! That is certainly not what the handwritten sign I saw at Circle K on 68th Street & McDowell in Scottsdale that said Free Money 1st Time Home BuyersOf course this all makes the BS meter jump pretty high. The ad says it’s “free money”, but in the end its not “free money” but a loan from Uncle Sam that you have to pay back. And while they implied it is “free money” some how a little voice in my head tells me that in the end I will have to pay them a bunch of money to get this “free money”, which means it isn’t be “free money”. So my next question is what do I have I have to do to get this “free money”, which really isn’t “free money”, but a “loan from Uncle Sam”? Some how I bet when I call them they will tell me I have to give them money, to get this loan from Uncle Sam? Now if Uncle Sam is going to give me a loan why do I have to go thru Don & Elizabeth Philpot to get it? Why can’t I get the loan directly from Uncle Sam? All these questions makes my BS meter jump pretty high? I think I will ask them to send me and e-mail like they promised in their 5 minute telephone speil. And then follow that up with a call to Elizabeth Philpot at (602)466-3580. This is the email I got from them. It was a waste of time. It pretty much says PLEASE CALL US and gives absolutely no information about the so called FREE MONEY. But the subject of the email was "Free Money", but of course as before that quickly changes because it ISN'T "Free Money", its a loan from the government!
